If anyone is considering obtaining generic Sofo & Dac via Greg, apparently you don't need a UK Doc script. This is confirmed by MHRA: hepatitisctreatment.homestead.com/importing-sofosbuvir-into-the-UK.htmlAll you need is a letter from your doctor stating you have HCV. This is the latest news I got from Greg, but it is always the best to contact him personally & inquire as things & regulations sometimes change from one week to the next. This is just fantastic news for anybody here in the UK struggling to obtain private doc prescription for the generic drugs. Said that, you still need to have a treatment monitoring in place if you wish to use the generics meds, but this is much easier to organise & most UK doctors will agree to monitor you.

Hi Jolie,
It's always been the case that you don't need a prescription to import meds to the UK. But when I got my Sov from Greg, he needed a UK prescription for his people in India, who in turn got a reciprocal prescription from an Indian Doctor that allowed them to purchase the Sov. Has this procedure with Greg and his people changed? That they can now obtain the meds in India without a prescription?

Hi Alsdad,
Yes it looks like it has changed a bit, of course the best is to get the script here & yes it is needed for the Indian Doctors. But apparently it is also possible to just have a letter from your doctor stating you have hepatitis C, that's apparently is enough for the Indian Doctors to prescribe. That is today, one never knows what the rules will be next week?

Well, that's great news because we all have correspondence from our dealings with the NHS that state our condition, so no need to go 'cap in hand' to surly consultants or GP's who are nervous about getting involved with something they know little about. Wrt the monitoring, my GP practice are doing this willingly, but unwilling GP's should come round to it if you stand your ground. Aren't they required to legally?

In latest Greg's blog he is saying that you can order products directly from Australian pharmacy, (tested & encapsulated Chinese API), once you have a prescription from an Australian doctor. You can see a doctor online like Dr Freeman via GP4U & get the script here: gp2u.com.auSo it appears you don't have to travel to Australia to collect your meds, you can do all online - this is something I was wondering for a while now, why not ?? You can have the Sof & Dac or "Harvoni" Sof & Led….simples bear in mind even with Greg's help to get the Dac from Australia I've been waiting 3 weeks so far & don't know how much longer I'll wait for it, so it's not as fast as other avenues. from Greg: hepatitisctreatment.homestead.com/generic-indian-harvoni.html"There are three compound chemists making a Harvoni equivalent in Australia of Sofosbuvir and Ledipasvir. One of these has all their output consumed by the demands of the FixHepC Buyers’ Club. The other two chemists are in Sydney and they make their Harvoni equivalent from Sofosbuvir and Ledipasvir supplied by an Australian Government approved pharmaceutical supplier. Every batch of Sof and Led are analysed and tested by an independent certification process. So the quality is 100%.It is a requirement of Australian law that Sofosbuvir and Ledipasvir can only be supplied to a patient with a prescription from an Australian registered doctor. However you do not need to be an Australian resident or even be in Australia as you can get an online consultation with an Australian doctor and then get the prescription. Once you have the prescription you can deal directly with the chemist and order the Sofosbuvir 400mg and Ledipasvir 90mg. These come in capsules and lactose free fillers are used. This process has been in operation for almost 2 months now and the results are now flowing through. So to get the Australian generic Harvoni equivalent you can come to Australia and pick it up or you can organise it all online.
Total cost for a 12 week treatment is AUD$2,350"

Hi Jolie,
Confused.com ! So we can order generic Harvoni online direct via the Aus pharmacy? but how? (sorry if slow here). I see there is an option to consult a UK Dr now at GP2U. I also read that India have now been given the all clear to sell (just read) - the meds 'should' be available in a couple of weeks.
What to do?!
Any news on your meds Jolie?
Warm wishes to all

Hi LG follow the link to Gregs blog, I quoted from that. I don't know how to do it directly with pharmacies as he only just posted it. If I knew it earlier I would deal with them directly, still you need to contact Greg to get the pharmacy email, etc. I suppose.
I am still waiting for Greg to get back to me with an update.....
