That's a great set of LFTs Zanametambien. My GGT only got down to the 'normal' range on my 9 week blood tests. You must be feeling pretty happy. Fingers crossed for your VL test result.
Btw, my AFP was also high on my starting bloods. Neither my Hepatology consultant nor my GP have flagged it up.

Yesterday I got my viral load exam back which were taken on the 29th day of treatment and results were virus undetectable.
Locally I see the major labs starting to offer special pricing to the HCV infected community. Prices still don't reflect the savings that these generics pose. I am wondering if someone is keeping a tally of those treated with generics and the results that they are baring. I have reached out to Greg Jefferys to see if he could send along to share with those others here. If anyone has knows how to obtain it would help others that are in urgent need of treatment.
Thanks Gary and Alsdad for your well wishes.

The news just keep on getting better zanametambien. It's looking like you are soon going to be busy making a lot of plans for your future . The best way to help people at the moment is to point them in the directions of Greg Jefferys, Dr Freeman's Buyers Club, and even my humble little resource. Our information is freedom and the road to health for hepc sufferers.

I thought I had already posted in respond to your comments Alsdad and Gary..
Many thanks guys and yes the road ahead seems to be looking very promising for all of us. Its somewhat perplexing to me as it seems as we mount up in greater numbers in successful treatments with generics doctors and governments do not contemplate generic treatment for the populous. Friday while at my doctors appointment I thought I heard him say that this government is only contemplating treatments from Bib Pharma if they are to foot the bill. As if my proof and results along with those of others here that are also treating with generics are not worth contemplating. Prices have dropped in Brazil and here through negotiations with Gilead, BMS and Arvvie (?) who all have set up in country shop. I could perhaps think that the Trans-Pacific Partnership will do a great deal of harm to countries that join as I think we did in 2005 and issues having to do with intellectual property, patents and the like thus potentially protecting big pharmas interest. My understanding is that Australia is also due to sign, but also that arguments for pro and cons are part of the discussions in the presidential US elections in Nov 2016.

My Heptalogist did not want to bother with it but I will check it again now that I am on meds.
AFP is not useful for screening in patients suffering from cirrhosis[10] or Hepatitis C[11] and therefore elevated AFP in these patients may not be indicative, or be only suggestive, of HCC.

A raised level can be a marker for cancer in non-hepatic patients, but isn't cosidered significant in hepc sufferers, so it's not normally monitored.

After having started out with the first month from Hell, my second month ended on a much better note. I began tx Nov 9, with Twinvir i purchased in Dhaka directly from Incepta. I still have very minor issues from the Bells Palsy I picked up along the way (cannot wink my right eye yet), insomnia continues to plague me, intermittent bouts of muscular pains, but energy levels have picked up and psychological attitude is greatly improved. On another note, 2 long time health issues (psoriasis and bowel problems) are greatly improved - perhaps because of the killing off of HepC virus. 10 weeks into tx (of 24 week schedule) and several liver indicators have moved back to normal levels... will get a viral load done in Feb at the end of 3 months of tx. Started out with a VL of 9 million, Geno 1A, F4 .... thank god for Incepta for meds and good advice and encouragement from the folks down in Tasmania/Australia.

Great to hear that your sides have settled down Zippy. From what you describe, they seem to be pretty much at the 'average' level now. Hopefully, that eye problem is just lingering from the initial bad reaction, and will settle down. Good that you're seeing some really positive results from the tx. I also have psoriasis, and mine has settled right down (not cleared) from it's pre-treatment condition. I, again like you, had bowel issues (loose stools) for years. Most of the time now they look like umbrella handles . Good luck with the next few months. All the indications are that things should turn out well for you.

i have reached the 1/2 way point in my 24 week treatment. Most, but not all of my sides have either gone away or minimized. Insomnia still persists and now have a new development - intermittent facial rashes... two different kinds... one is rash spots, the other is rash blotches... and me, i never even had pimples in High School!
other odds and ends come and go...
My psoriasis, which i had for some 30 years, has subsided quite a bit - that is a plus.
otherwise... just waiting to get to the end of the trail... by that i mean, the end of meds, not death! hahahaha
