Hi. I want to check what is the difference between Dac, Led and Trivir. If I buy Led or Trivir, do I still need Sof? Do I need to buy 12 weeks or 18 just in case I need to stay for a bit longer on ttx? I also not sure, which drag is better for my Gen., as they all have similar qualities. I'm gen 1, blood test was good(waiting for the latest result), elastography scan F0(awaiting fibroscan app.). Lots of sx. Tiredness, skin rash, dizziness, cold feet all the time. Was offered 12 month double on NHS.
Also where to find the doctor, who can monitor me on tx by using generic message. Thank you.

Hi Dan,
Trivir is an anti-HIV med. I think you meant Twinvir, which is a generic copy of Harvoni, which is a combination medicine of Sovaldi and Ledipasvir. You need to take Sof as the main component of any non-interferon treatment (DAA). Like I said, it can be taken combined with Ledipasvir, which is called Harvoni (Bangladeshi generics are called Twinvir and Lesovir-C). The alternative is Sovaldi and Daklinza, currently only available separately (Sovaldi generics are available in India, Bangladesh and Egypt under many different names), Daklinza is currently available in Bangladesh and is called Daclavir). Ledipasvir and Daclatasvir are much of a muchness: They're both NS5A inhibitors and work in the same way. One was developed by Gilead (I hate that word!), the other by Bristol Myers Squibb.
Subject to your fibroscan confirming an F0 liver, 12 weeks is the recommened treatment. Take the time to read/browse through the EASL treatment guide linked in the Technical Section.

I'm trying to create a new thread but can't find the button, sorry.
OK. I'm new here. I was on the Hep C Forum but as they are not happy with generics, I followed the link.
I have Genotype 2,probably had it for 30+ years, done 2 failed peg/riba courses. I am not accepting any more of that.
I now have symptoms, fatigue, bowel problems, cramp in feet and legs.
I intend to buy from abroad as soon as I can get my medical records.
I believe I will need 24 weeks sof/dac probably with riba. Waiting for the clinic to advise on that.
Ha! If they will even accept my decision and take care of me during the treatment.
So, please help me to post in the right place.
TC.

Hi t120girl. It's fine to post your questions in this thread. I'd say your best starting point for obtaining the meds you want is Greg Jefferys. He's the guy who started the whole international shipping of hepc generic meds business. His contact info is on this part of the forum: killthedragon.freeforums.net/board/12/greg-jefferysCurrent treatment guidelines for G2's who are treatment-experienced on Peg+Riba, using Sof+Dac are 12 weeks no Riba, even for cirrhotics. See the EASL guide here: killthedragon.freeforums.net/thread/17/latest-easl-guide-hcv-treatmentsGreg was a G2 who cured himself by travelling to India to obtain 12 weeks Sof + Riba (this was before generic Dac became available). Fire him an email, he's a great guy and really helpful. I treated on 12 weeks Sof + Dac at the ent of last year, having failed one round of Peg + Riba a few years ago, and I recently passed my SVR12 blood test (I was G3).

I should add that it's also worth contacting Parvez, who works for Incepta Pharma, once you've decided on your treatment: killthedragon.freeforums.net/thread/35/discussion-incepta-pharmaIf you read through his thread, you will see that his company can ship Sof and Dac internationally. He will explain all the details if you contact him (you can post general questions about Incepta and their products on his thread: he checks in there regularly). And don't hesitate to ask any further questions on here.
